Perhaps this is the old magical potion that so many folk tales discuss. The shaman is traditionally someone who understand the plants and their medicinal use. Preparing different “medicine” as well as “magical potions” serve the shaman as tools to bring different levels of awareness or attention to imbalances or deeper understanding with certain energies.

Today, drug use in western society is widespread, frowned upon if not illegal, and perhaps most of all mis-understood. The demand is due to our own dire need to consciously evolve. Plants are the base to our medicine, to our food, and to our conscious understanding of the world. It seems that the last part has been forgotten, or at least illegalized. It is interesting to see how illegal drug use stems from cultures where either a strong governmental or church belief system is in place. The correlation is evident and is in dire need of change.

The Trance dancing and neo-shamanic youth culture that explores the power of plant medicine without proper guidance can lead to dangerous situations, from going “crazy” to death. A ritual, ceremony and entering with the right relationship to the plant medicine is crucial for a beneficial experience without side effects.

DMT provides us with an immediate experience of the other side. this should be taken under supervision of a shaman or an experienced elder. it is called the small death for the 15 minute experience makes one go under to the other side and see the light, like floating out of the body and see the crystal light matrix. it is an intense and for some scary experience. for others it is ecstatic and sublimely orgasmic.
